Remember way back in math class how we were told to show our work? It's the same with design when conveying to employers, clients, and teammates what our process looks like. Let's go!

Hi!
And hello!
I'm Deborah Davis, a
designer and illustrator living in Tacoma, WA, about a half hour south of Seattle.

SO WHAT ARE YOU GONNA BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
As a kid, the answer in my head was always the latest passing phase paired with that of “and an artist.” A cop, and an artist. An astronaut, and an artist. An actor, and an artist. My desire to make all things orderly and aesthetically pleasing naturally leads to the design world. Maybe you’ve heard that your talent + helping others = your purpose. I try to live that!

I delight in providing clarity and vibrancy in conveying an over all look, feel, and message, most especially through campaigns. A growth mindset and a generally cheerful disposition serve me well, and I'm often at my best when a balance between autonomy and accountability is struck within a team. I've a particular knack for incorporating trends and color, imparting meaning, and learning with intention- curiosity must be fed, fat cat, that it is!

I tell visual stories that help companies help people while growing engagement, earning profit, and attaining goals. That’s at the heart of what I do currently, and though it's become so trendy to state what we do in this simplistic way that it's a bit cliche, it remains true.
